Yasawa Islands

Yasawa Island Resort & Spa, Fiji

The untouched islands of Fiji’s Yasawa archipelago are the most archetypal of the South Pacific – remote, unspoiled and strung out like blue and green beads amongst pristine reefs. This is also the sunniest and driest region in Fiji.

A scenic 30-minute private light aircraft flight from Nadi, Yasawa Island Resort is the only resort on the island, ensuring this is a true paradise for those seeking off-the-beaten track luxury and seclusion. Local villages are home to the amazing team at Yasawa who will feel like family during your stay, such is the beautiful spirit of the Fijian people.

Sleep

Your castaway refuge is one of 18 spacious thatched Bures, designed in a contemporary yet traditional Fijian style, sitting right on the astonishing beach. Picture this: swinging in your hammock, strung between two palms, cooled by the gentle sea breeze…the makings of a lifetime memory! Hopeless romantics will love Yasawa’s honeymoon suite -‘Lomalagi’ - serenely secluded at the far end of the beach with its own horizon pool.

Eat

At Yasawa, all meals are included, with a natural focus on freshly caught fish and seafood – the local villagers are great fishermen, and their catch of the day is a highlight at mealtimes. Savour a traditional Fijian feast – a ‘Lovo’ – served up with a ‘Meke’ performance of Fijian song and dance, and washed down with a cup of kava. An acquired taste, this traditional drink is made from the roots of a pepper plant.

Pamper & Play

Yasawa Island boasts 11 deserted, white sand beaches - including ‘Paradise’ and ‘Lovers’! Equipped with a gourmet picnic, cooling drinks and a sunshade, hop on a boat and be whisked to your private utopia for an unforgettable day... included in your stay as many times as you like. Why not try a different beach each day!

Activities around the resort range from swimming, diving and fishing to kayaking, visiting the local village and meandering along tracks into the native bush.  A must has to be the twice-weekly complimentary trip to the magnificent Blue Lagoon Caves, made famous in the Brooke Shields shipwreck movie.

When a muscle-melting massage beckons, stroll along the beach to the Spa where the signature massage, the Baravi Rhythm, is performed by two therapists, working to the tempo of the waves. There are 15 words for ‘heaven’ in Fijian, little wonder that Yasawa is the first!

Families

The beauty of Yasawa is reserved for adults-only for the majority of the year, but there are a handful of 'Family Weeks' that tie-in with Australia/NZ school holidays.

2024/25 Family Weeks

• 13 April 2024 to 28 April 2024
• 06 July 2024 to 21 July 2024
• 21 September 2024 to 06 October 2024
• 21 December 2024 to 05 January 2025

Kachi Kids Club

'Kachi' is the Fijian word for kids, and the wonderful kids club at Yasawa caters to its young guests during the resort's Family Weeks. Whilst having plenty of fun with the fantastic team of Fijian carers, the young explorers and adventurers learn about their incredible natural surroundings and the local culture.

Rather than using modern toys and video games for entertainment, daily activities are tailored around the various ages and interests of the children attending the club each day - ranging from beach walks, nature talks, sea discovery and visits to the local village, home to Yasawa's friendly team of staff.
