When it comes to finding the perfect luxury hotel, resort or island, it can be tricky to know where to start. Will it have enough activities to keep those with ants in their pants at bay? Are the rooms large enough to ensure there are no family fallings out? Can we book interconnecting suites? Can we guarantee that there will be (at least one!) adults-only area in which to totally switch off an unwind? Well, luckily, that is what we’re here for at Turquoise. We hand pick our partners around the globe and one particular close friend of ours, who consistently tick the holiday wish list boxes, is the Four Seasons family. Ensuring brilliance throughout the holiday experience, starting with five-star service and finishing with five-star service… here is our guide to why each of our favourite nine… are so utterly divine.

9. Four Seasons Resort Langkawi – Malaysia
Meandering tropical gardens, sugar white sand beaches, magnificent limestone outcrops and an abundance of wildlife surround the stunning Four Seasons Langkawi. The hotel cleverly caters for families and couples separately, with a kids club, pool and activity centre at one end and an adults-only pool and relaxation area at the other. Our favourite spot for a sundowner overlooking the majestic Malacca Straits has to be sat on the swing at Rhu Bar, followed by a ‘feet-in-the-sand’ seafood feast at the Kelapa Grill, under a starlit sky. The spa is one of the best in Asia, with treatment rooms located in enchanting settings overlooking the rainforest or the limestone cliffs which frame the resort.
