The three Caribbean diamonds of Antigua, Grenada and St Lucia offer the most colourful array of activities, paradise beaches, warm local hospitality and alluring flavours. I have returned from my island-hopping escapade being able to recommend seven of my favourite rooms which would make any Elizabeth Swann proud.
Antigua
Carlisle Bay’s Ocean Suite- Number 315. Take in the beautiful view from the bath tub looking out over the lush, green, undulating Antiguan hills while you soak. Then, with a book or drink in hand, enjoy the stunning vistas of the beach and bay from the private day bed on the balcony.
Curtain Bluff’s Terrace Suite. This has true Caribbean wow factor! A calm and spacious room it offers a really romantic feel, huge bathroom and a private infinity plunge pool. One of the best options for honeymooners. From here you can enjoy stunning panoramic views out to sea, with Montserrat and St. Kitts & Nevis on the horizon on clear days.
COCOs Hotel’s Premium Cottage– Number 30. This room is set high on the hill giving incredible panoramic views all the way from Jolly Harbour Beach to Valley Church Beach. You really feel like you’re submerged in nature in this room. There’s also a fun outdoor shower with a view!
Jumby Bay Islands’s Calabash Private Home. With 4 bedrooms, this amazing set up is an excellent option for a close family or group of close couples who all want to stay under one roof and enjoy the secluded atmosphere. This private home benefits from a butler, maid service and chef to prepare three meals per day, so there is no need to lift a finger. The gorgeous décor, spacious rooms, pool area and sea views are just WOW!
Grenada
Spice Island’s Seagrape Beach Suite- Number 19. This is a beautiful, spacious, beachfront room. Walk right off your terrace onto stunning Grand Anse Beach! And I loved the gorgeous bathroom with a skylight!
St Lucia
Sugar Beach’s Superior Luxury Cottage- Number 608. Trending white on white on white, this cottage is a lovely space with an L-shaped design around the private terrace and private plunge pool. The room is nestled amongst nature with Petit Piton views!
Boucan by Hotel Chocolat’s Lux Lodge- Number 14. This is my favourite for the room layout, rather than the view. I loved the open plan concept and design with high ceilings, and I absolutely loved the décor and finishes. Enjoy the hillside breeze rather than air conditioning and the fabulous outdoor rain shower!
