If you could describe your experience at Constance Lemuria in three words what would they be?
Peaceful – As soon as you drive through the grand gates of this resort your shoulders relax. The rolling 18-hole golf course creates a real sense of tranquillity which is one of the reasons why I fell in love with this hotel.
Sophisticated – Having been refurbished in 2016, Constance Lemuria has been thoughtfully designed down to the very last detail, with almost everything bespoke. Even the main buffet restaurant has a 5 star feel to it which I love.
Luxury – From the striking welcome overlooking the pool to the pillow menu on your bed. Constance Lemuria feels so luxurious, you won’t want to leave!

What do you think would be the best amount of time to stay at Lemuria? Where would be your favourite place in Seychelles to add on to your stay?
As Lemuria is located on Praslin, an island which has so much to offer in terms of day trips and exploring, I would say that you could spend anywhere from 3 to 7 nights at Constance Lemuria, especially if you want to experience everything the region has to offer! I think a really lovely combination would be 5 nights here, followed by a few nights on one of the more secluded islands such as Denis Private Island or Six Senses Zil Pasyon.

Can you describe your room? Where was it within the resort? How far to the nearest beach and what were the views like?
I had the pleasure of staying in a Junior Suite, which is the lead in room category. These are situated in small buildings of four and either has a terrace or balcony, depending on the location of your room. While these rooms are sea facing, there a stretch of sand and trees separating these rooms from the beach. This is because turtles nest on the beaches at Constance Lemuria, and therefore artificial light needs to be kept to a minimum. The rooms themselves are large, with beautiful bathrooms and a huge bath.

What are your absolute must-dos for a stay on Praslin?
While staying at Constance Lemuria, it is really worth exploring the rest of Praslin which is a great island with so much going on. Head to the Vallée De Mai to learn about the Coco De Mer, take a trip to one of the top ten beaches of the world, or venture on a day trip over to the neighbouring island of La Digue to experience a simpler way of life.

Did you meet anyone at the resort who really stood out for their service?
If I am honest everyone at Constance Lemuria stood out. Whether it’s the ‘good morning’ you receive on the walk to breakfast or the warm welcome you get when you arrive – everyone really takes the time to get to know you and your preferences.

What was your favourite dish and drink that you tried at Constance Lemuria?
Constance Lemuria has a huge range of wines – 12,000 bottles to be exact, and therefore this has to be my favourite drink simply due to the sheer variety available! As I am a sucker for sweets, my favourite dish has to be the chef’s special ultimate chocolate dessert at Diva. Chocolate ice-cream, crumbled brownie and chocolate cream, encased in a chocolate and edible gold tube. Topped with hot pouring chocolate and all served on a cocoa frosted plate – it truly is a chocolate lover’s dream!

What did you learn about Seychellois history and culture during your stay?
The Seychellois people are all so friendly, helpful and accommodating and I think a lot of this stems from living an island life that has such a sense of community. Instantly at Constance Lemuria, you are made to feel like part of that community and I think this is part of the beauty of the resort. It’s also great to learn about the traditional fauna and flora that make up the island, that the people of Seychelles have been taking advantage of for years and years.

Why should I make Constance Lemuria the top of my travel hit list?
It’s a great resort Constance Lemuria, with so many facilities whether you’re a family or a couple. It is also located on a wonderful island, which really allows you to experience the local life. The food here is also out of this world, the beaches are stunning and the service is second to none. What isn’t there to love about this place?!

Can you describe the resort?
The most dominant part of this resort is the 18-hole championship golf course, which gives a really well-manicured feel to the hotel. Constance Lemuria feels quite large; however, this is a really positive thing because it means that everything is spaced out and you always feel like you have time to yourself. With three beaches, and a huge main pool there is something for everyone and with so many different restaurants to choose from, you will never be bored!

What would be your perfect day at Constance Lemuria?
My perfect day at Constance Lemuria would be to wake up at leisure and head to breakfast at The Legend, where I can indulge in the buffet and get some fuel for the day ahead. I would then head out to explore a little bit of Praslin, maybe spending my morning at Vallée De Mai to learn about the fauna and flora that is endemic to the island. I would then head back to the resort to chill by the main pool, indulge in the odd ice-cream or sundae to cool down after the morning activities. In the afternoon I would wander down to the spa to unwind with a massage, before having champagne at sunset on Tee 15 of the golf course, enjoying the amazing sea views! To end my perfect day, I would head to the Nest for dinner overlooking the ocean. Perfect.
