Just returned from an amazing trip to the idyllic Maldives. Started out at Constance Moofushi – a stunning 5* island offering a great ‘Crystal’ all-inclusive package. The island itself is pure barefoot luxury – no shoes allowed! Dressing up in the evenings is definitely acceptable need to look good when sipping all those cocktails watching the sun go down! The staff & service is totally impeccable on this island as with all Constance properties. Excursions are included so I would definitely recommend the snorkelling extravaganza it totally blew me away…reef sharks, manta rays, tuna fish..what more could you ask for?! There is no kids club but being a Mum myself I would totally feel comfortable taking children – the atmosphere is very relaxed and informal and everyone is made welcome. Whichever you prefer both the Water Villas and Beach Villas are stunning. They have the same interiors – the Water Villas giving you direct access into the lagoon with the amazing house reef that you can explore at your leisure. The Beach Villas very private with direct access onto the pure white sand – soak up the view in the comfort of your hammock……For the added indulgence the Spa de Constance offers the ultimate in relaxing treatments and a very memorable experience – be sure to book in advance as it is very popular. You will definitely return from the island a wine connoisseur after the detailed advice given at every meal by the very experienced in-house Sommelier Cedric.
The next stop was to experience Constance Halaveli. This is pure luxury in the making! The 5* Deluxe island is stunning, more formal and extremely beautiful. Again choose from the Water Villas or Beach Villas depending on your preferences. The Water Villas are extremely large in size with plunge pools on the deck…trust me a real sun spot! The Beach Villas are more ‘rustique luxury’ – outdoor style bathroom, shower and bath – very pretty and perfect for honeymooners looking for total seclusion. Once again an amazing wine-cellar – private dining available which is highly recommended plus you could add it to your Honeymoon Gift List! Halaveli looks after honeymooners, couples and families. There is a lovely Kids Club taking children from age 4 but everyone is welcome if accompanied by a parent. There is lots to do on the island – spa treatments, dive school and Watersports so you could easily entertain yourself for a few weeks without getting bored. Food is simply amazing – plenty of choices for everyone during breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Both islands are an experience within themselves that will give me many memories for a long time – paradise definitely exists!
