While you wait for the postman to arrive, here are a few of our favourite journeys to inspire your imagination. Vinaka vaka levu!
Treehouses & Overwater Bures
Fiji is home to 333 beautiful islands, so it can feel overwhelming when it comes to choosing which ones are right for you. A combination of at least two islands is what we always recommend for those visiting Fiji and this 10-night itinerary is one of our all-time favourites. Your journey will start on the stunningly tropical and island of Matangi Private Island Resort in northern Fiji, before heading south to the Mamanuca Islands, where you’ll enjoy the sheltered azure lagoon and luxurious overwater bungalows of Likuliku Lagoon Resort.
10 nights from £6,995 per person, including all meals, domestic and international flights.
City Lights & Island Delights
There is no denying that Fiji is a long way away, so if time permits, why not stop en route? With daily flights to Los Angeles from London, this itinerary begins in soulful Santa Monica. Cycle along the boardwalk to Venice Beach, hop on the bus to Hollywood, take a day trip to Malibu and soak up the cool Cali vibes as the sun sets on the horizon. Refreshed and refuelled, head south to Fiji and the timeless sophistication of Tokoriki Island Resort. Beautiful frangipani-scented gardens weave in and out of Polynesian-style beachfront villas. An oasis of calm and tropical escapism, this family-owned and -run retreat is a firm Turquoise favourite.
10 nights from £14,885 per person, including all meals, domestic and international flights.
Luxury Private Island Hopping
This itinerary combines superb levels of luxury with a genuine sense of place, amidst the nature, flora and fauna of Fiji’s most exclusive private island retreats. Super-cool in style, with an infectiously laid-back atmosphere, your island-hopping journey starts on Vomo Island Resort. Boasting a brand-new adults-only infinity pool, overlooking one of the best sunset spots in, Vomo is the epitome of romance. From here, you’ll travel east to the Kadavu archipelago and Kokomo Island Resort. Right on the edge of the Great Astrolabe Reef, diving and snorkelling at Kokomo is incredibly special and accessible for all levels of experience. Dry off on your deck beside your private pool, or join the chef for a wander through the five-acre on-island farm and learn the magic behind Kokomo’s mouth-watering menus.
10 nights from £3,295 per person, including all meals, domestic and international flights.
Fijian Family Adventure
Fiji’s striking landscapes are a natural playground for all ages and although it’s a long way to travel with children in tow, the journey is always worthwhile. This family adventure starts at Paradise Cove Resort in the Yasawa Islands. Visit between May and October to experience the magnificent manta ray migration, which flows through a channel just 10 minutes away. Next stop is Pacific Harbour on the main island of Viti Levu, where you’ll stay at the Nanuku Auberge Resort. A haven for adventure-seekers, zip-line through the forest, hike up to the top of waterfalls or hang out in the kids’ club, where under-6s will be cared for by private nannies and under 12s will have their own personal Nanuku buddy!
10 nights from £14,885 per family, including all meals, domestic and international flights.
