Dreams can come true! I was lucky enough to travel to the amazing location of Tahiti. I visited the small but luxurious Islands of Moorea, Bora Bora, Tahaa, Tikehau and Tahiti Mainland.
Having never been to Tahiti before even the transfer from the airport to the first resort blew me away. The views were breathtaking as we flew over the beautiful colourful lagoons. I don’t think I have seen sand whiter or water clearer. Just stunning!
This was certainly the trip of a life-time, each Island has its own unique stamp. One of my favourites was Tahaa, where I stayed at Le Tahaa Resort and Spa, which was just wonderful, all rooms have their own private pool making you feel like royalty every time you step inside.
The weather in Tahiti was perfect, really hot but not uncomfortable, and sunny every day – just what you want for your dream holiday or honeymoon. It was great! It meant we could do whatever we wanted: sunbathe, swim, relax or go all out and enjoy some excursions which is what I did… I must say the Jeep safari in Moorea was amazing, the driver was funny and well informed. This was such a great way to see the whole Island. He took us everywhere… over mountains, along the coast line… we travelled the whole way around the island and all in one morning which meant we were back just in time to indulge in a tasty lunch at our hotel.
I must say the highlight of my trip was the Manta Ray feeding. As we stood there waiting for them, our tour guide produced his conch horn, and started to blow it making various sounds, then before you knew it a Manta Ray appeared from nowhere knowing that it was feeding time!! This was something I never thought I would experience – it was amazing and just one of the many ‘wow’ moments during the trip.
I would definitely go back to Tahiti, I have more Islands to explore and more Manta Raya to feed!
