Location, location, location
Lying in the Thaa Atoll, COMO Maalifushi is further south than most resorts in the Maldives. A 60-minute seaplane from Malé will transport you to this far-flung paradise, whose remoteness has meant its natural surroundings have been left wonderfully pristine. Its house reef is vibrantly flush with coral and the combination of footprint-free beach with lush jungle interior is like Cast Away meets Jurassic Park.
Food for thought
COMO Maalifushi prides itself on its fresh, local food across all three of its restaurants. Main diner Madi serves a mix of Maldivian, Mediterranean and international dishes, while Japanese-themed Tai showcases the resort’s finest Indian Ocean catch with its sushi and sashimi. Thila is more relaxed and an ideal option for families. If you’re health-conscious, Maalifushi’s unique nutritional COMO Shambhala cuisine is available everywhere.
A good night’s sleep
