Stunningly perched on the cliffs of Hermanus (near the southernmost tip of Africa), Birkenhead House has a stylish informality which makes an immediate impact. As a bonus, you can see whales (Southern Rights) between June to December – and there’s nothing more memorable than enjoying breakfast on the pool terrace overlooking the ocean whilst spotting whales rising majestically through the waves!
