The Test Kitchen is a Cape Town dining diamond and Shangri La’s Le Touessrok has recently announced a six-week culinary partnership with this world-class restaurant. South African secrets will be brought to the paradise beaches of Mauritius on the 11th April.
The award-winning Luke Dale Roberts is showing guests a brand new way of dining by bringing the entire experience of the Cape Town restaurant to the Shangri La’s Republik Beach Club and Grill. He has reworked the Test Room’s unique dark room and light room experience, by presenting food lovers with tapas in the ‘dark room’ and a five-course set menu at Le Touessrok’s very own ‘light room’. One of the most exciting concepts about the Test Kitchen, includes a treat for travelling foodies with the famous ‘food map’. This scroll of parchment will take travellers to the most delicious cuisine from Luke Dale Robert’s personal journey. The chef has mapped out an around the world foodie adventure from Ceviche in Peru, to Billionaire’s Shortbread in Scotland.
Shangri La’s Le Touessrok is proving to be a pioneer of world cuisine. Not only is the resort launching The Test Kitchen’s first ever international pop-up, but this is the second in Le Touessrok’s most recent culinary ventures. The resort successfully brought in the Mediterranean MAMO Le Michaelangelo restaurant in January this year.
If you can’t quite fit in a trip to both Cape Town and Mauritius, then skip the nine-month waiting list found at the original Test Kitchen and jump right into foodie heaven at Le Touessrok!
