We’ve just had some great feedback from one of our clients who recently traveled to Thailand, visiting both Bangkok and Koh Samui.
Thanks for your email, we had a beautiful honeymoon, really really good. Thank you so much for your recommendations on the hotels, both were perfect.
Just some specific feedback, the Davis in Bangkok was great. Brilliant location, great service & nice room (Design Room), we were able to explore Bangkok from there with ease & had a lovely assistant from Extissimo who gave us some tips. We’d highly recommend anyone going to Bangkok to take a trip to the Banyan Tree Hotel for cocktails on the roof- breathtaking view, no need to book & an 80baht taxi ride from the hotel. Bangkok was fine when we travelled, no issues with the Red Shirts & no threats.
On the Zazen in Koh Samui- well, it was gorgeous, we loved it! We were fortunate enough to have an upgraded room so were in a Garden Delux Villa which was amazing. We had beautiful flowers & champagne when we arrived & complimentary one hour massages each! The food there is gorgeous, the location was great with a short walk to the Fishermans Village & the beach was pretty. We’d highly recommend the Lobster dinner which isn’t on the menu but is available at special request with 24 hours notice, it was really special. All the staff there were lovely but especially the owners who were always present at dinner & would chat to each table, a lovely touch. The spa was beautiful, we had 2 massages each & the general grounds of the resort were really peaceful & well kept. Whilst in Samui we did a one day island tour on a jeep booked through the hotel which included the elephant ride which was great fun & we also did a one day trip to Koh Tao to snorkel which was lovely (although a long ride by speedboat- 1.5hours each way!), again booked through the hotel. Both were great value, well organised & we had private pick-ups from the hotel which was great.
All in all we had an amazing honeymoon plus we got upgraded on our flights home so travelled back in style!
Thanks again for organising everything for us, it really was amazing & unforgettable. Thanks to everyone at Turquoise, we have recommended you to friends & family & hope to use you again in the future for our next adventure (although maybe a few years- the wedding has cleared our bank account!)
