The Turquoise Holiday Company has topped the polls in one of the world’s leading travel magazine’s reader awards, the 15th annual Condé Nast Traveller Reader Awards, leaving many big name travel companies such as Trailfinders, Kuoni, Abercrombie & Kent and Cox & Kings trailing behind in its wake.
Turquoise Holidays, which has offices in Beaconsfield and South West London, pulled in the highest score of all 20 tour operators listed in the ‘Overall Top Tour Operator’ Category, and was declared the readers’ favourite tour operator based on service and reliability.
Condé Nast Traveller’s annual reader awards are regarded as the most authoritative in the British tourism industry, and are highly influential throughout the world. The magazine has always been renowned for its ‘truth in travel’ policy and its editorial integrity. The awards are drawn from questionnaires posted in an earlier issue of the magazine. Results are collated and analysed by an independent market research company.
The award was presented by the magazine’s editor Melinda Stevens and its publisher, Simon Leadsford. It was received by Turquoise Holidays’ managing director Brian Barton, marketing director James Bell and marketing manager Lizzie Heeley.
