Amboseli

Basking in the shadow of the majestic snow-capped peak of Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, Kenya’s lesser known Amboseli National Park is all too often overlooked. Yet it has been famous for its herds of elephants for decades - around 1,500 elephants call Amboseli home. In particular, a real draw are the super tuskers – elephants sporting the world’s biggest tusks. It is humbling and awe-inspiring to behold the vastness of Africa below as you fly over the elephant rich salt plains, framed by Kili’s dramatic beauty. Amboseli’s geography is its charm and its network of swamps and marshes also attract a wealth of birdlife.
