Suitable for couples, honeymooners and families alike, Kichwa Tembo combines contemporary style with a classic safari ambience. The 26 Superior Tents feature beautiful Maasai inspired interiors, crafted from local materials. Some tents have partial views of the Mara through the forest canopy, others are situated further back, while the rest look out onto the nearby escarpment. For the ultimate vista, the eight stunning Superior View Tents boast sweeping uninterrupted views across the Mara's vast open savannah plains. There are also three Superior Family Tents which comprise two interconnected tents with an ensuite bathroom and private verandah.

Delicious organic menus celebrate the seasonal bounty of the camp’s thriving shamba (organic vegetable garden). The interactive kitchen brings a fun and convivial atmosphere, enabling guests to witness their mouth-watering meals being prepared from garden to table. The camp's central hub is the Tusker Bar, named after the legendary Kenyan beer. Meet here for tea before the afternoon game drive and afterwards for drinks with the guides in before dinner. Safari conversations often linger long into the night!

As well as twice daily traditional game drives to spot the iconic Big Five, Kichwa’s setting in a private concession allows for guided bush walks, night drives and bush dining under a starry sky. Many of the staff are from the local communities and you can visit a traditional village to witness the daily rituals of the Maasai. The camp has a rim-flow swimming pool with extraordinary views across the plains and there is also a Massage Tent, for relaxing post safari treatments. For birds-eye views of the Masai Mara, early morning hot air balloon flights to watch the sunrise are highly recommended!
