- Meru National Park
Meru National Park
Set in the heart of Kenya, this is one of the lesser-known National Parks in the country and because of that, it guarantees the most private and secluded safari experience. Imagine jaw dropping landscapes, incredible wildlife and the most heart-warming story behind it all; welcome to Meru National Park. You may have heard this name before and that will take you back to the 1960s when Joy and George Adamson wrote a wonderful book about their lioness Elsa which then was made into the movie Born Free.
The feeling of being in one of the most remote corners of Kenya, with just the wildlife around you, is impossible to beat. Currently, there is only one lodge in the National Park so you will truly become one with nature and experience the beauty of Kenya.
The National Park is not only home to plenty of wildlife including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants and rhinos; it is known for its diversity of habitat and wildlife too, such as the rare lesser Kudu, and boasting over 400 species - a birders paradise. There are plenty of activities to keep yourself entertained, like the classic game drive, day excursions to the Tana River, a Rhino Sanctuary, guided walks, river fishing and so much more!
