Perched on stilts between ancient milkwood trees, the stylish quiet charm of the ten wood-and-glass suites sharply contrasts the sound of the waves. Each room is inspired by an island from around the world and all have a private deck with breathtaking views of the sea and mountains. The Robben Island Suite naturally pays tribute to South Africa’s first democratically elected President, Nelson Mandela, who was imprisoned on Robben Island (a short boat ride from Cape Town’s Victoria & Alfred Waterfront) for 24 years.

Dining is a gourmet affair and every dish from the menu reveals Tintswalo’s passion and love for fine dining. The kitchen is open to the dining room so guests can watch the chefs in action while enjoying a glass of wine! A full daily breakfast is included but both lunch and dinner can be booked in advance (these will be prepared in accordance with your personal culinary preferences).

There is a heated saltwater pool on the large wooden sundeck, perched on the rocks with the Atlantic Ocean lapping at its base. A heated Jacuzzi on the Balau wood main deck looks out over the ocean and enjoys spectacular views year round, especially during sunset and sunrise. For those seeking some additional pampering, a massage therapist can be arranged for private treatments in the comfort of your suite.
