The 40 private pool villas have been cleverly blended into their surroundings with the use of local timbers, volcanic stone and rooftops blanketed in tropical vegetation. Interiors are contemporary with neutral tones, creating a relaxed jungle-lux vibe. Villas are designed with a spacious living area flowing out onto the generous decking, ideal for alfresco poolside dining. The restaurant serves up a fresh breakfast buffet with a la carte selections, casual lunches and seasonally themed dinners. Making the most of the stunning sunset views, the elevated bar is the perfect place for a few sundowners before dinner, but you needn’t feel too guilty about indulging as there’s a big focus on wellness here. The spa features a menu of ancient Cambodian healing traditions and ‘multi-day rejuvenation journeys’, along with yoga workshops.

Experiences abound at Six Senses with a range of under and over-water activities, including snorkelling, diving and kayaking. Reminiscent of the Seychelles, the island’s gorgeous beach is hidden amongst giant boulders in a small cove, with crystal clear waters and a small off-shore reef. Cinema Paradiso is an outdoor cinema featuring classic movies to be enjoyed beneath a blanket of stars, and the simple observatory offers stargazing sessions with expert talks on the universe.
