Our top choice has to be the Forest Suites, located at the west end of Bisma Eight, with sweeping panoramas of the verdant jungle.

Bisma Eight’s central point is the idyllic infinity pool with magnificent views over the verdant valley. The pool is bordered by a wooden deck where guests can indulge in a little of whatever-takes-your-fancy from The Pavilion, whilst sitting back in the plush loungers and enjoying the lush surrounds. The cool Library café serves some of the best lattes in Ubud and Copper Kitchen and Bar is well known locally for sensational Asian-fusion dishes, many sourced from their organic rooftop garden.

Its location is not too far from the Monkey Forest and the walk into town, past rice paddies and down a few narrow streets, is about 15 minutes, so you may choose to take the resort’s complimentary shuttle bus. However with plenty of cafés en route you don’t have to stumble too far for a refreshing juice, smoothie, or even cocktail after an afternoon exploring this charming town.
