- The Fullerton Hotel, Singapore
The Fullerton Hotel, Singapore
Singapore’s historic Fullerton building has served many purposes since its construction in 1928, including that of Residence for the first Governor as well as General Post Office, but it has now begun a new chapter in its illustrious history with its careful restoration into a contemporary and stylish landmark hotel.
The Fullerton Hotel
With a fantastic location in the heart of Singapore, rooms overlook either the courtyard atrium or the Singapore River. Each of the 400 rooms and suites has been named to reflect the building’s rich history and the décor is suitably elegant and classic. Contrasting with the colonial style of the building, the rooms are impeccably modern, with a light pine décor and high speed internet access, as well as tea/coffee making facilities.
The Fullerton also boasts some of the best facilities in Singapore. An infinity edged swimming pool overlooks the river and the recently refurbished gym is state of the art. The Spa is perfect for some relaxation and there is a dedicated lounge area for those with early check-in or late check-out. There are also several dining options including modern Chinese, Italian and even an afternoon chocolate buffet.
It is the Fullerton’s location which is one of the biggest attractions. Not only is the hotel located on the river, but is also in the heart of Raffles Place, near to Boat Quay and Clarke Quay and enjoys easy access to One Fullerton, known for its wide range of eating and drinking options.
