Chocolate Gannets, Apollo Bay

Each contemporary Sea Villa is luxuriously appointed, each with two bedrooms, a small kitchen, open living space featuring a wood fire and huge two-person spa bath. Two Beachfront Villas have uninterrupted views of the rolling waves with floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the spectacular views. Just behind, two Luxury villas have particle ocean views. The villas are a stone’s throw from the beach, or a short four-minute drive into Apollo Bay with its shops and restaurants.

Each villa has a fully equipped kitchen and Apollo Bay is a four-minute drive away with a choice of restaurants. We also recommend Chris’s at Beacon Point, which is a few minutes from Chocolate Gannets in the hinterland, for great local cuisine and gorgeous sea views.

Just behind the lodge, guests can wander through the bush and hopefully spot a koala in the wild on their Koala Trek. This exclusive, winding track of about 200 meters meanders among eucalypt trees that are home to a few koalas. They are wild, so spotting them is not guaranteed, but you’ll most likely find them snoozing or chomping on the trees – an incredible sight.

A rental car is recommended when visiting the Chocolate Gannets as the location is roughly a 2.5 hour drive from Melbourne. As the route is coastal, you'll also be treated to some incredible views along the way!
