PurePods

Each pod is reached on foot from a nearby parking area, so you must carry your overnight bags and any treats with you (it is safe and secure to leave your main luggage locked in your car). The walk varies from pod to pod, with the shortest distance from car to pod being just a few hundred feet, and the longest being about 1.2km. Whichever pod you choose, you'll get a real feel for the isolation and privacy that awaits as you make your way along the track!

Solar power and bio-fuel heaters provide warmth and hot water, and in summer, you can throw open the wraparound glass doors and let the breeze flow in. For extra privacy (not that there are any passers-by) and to keep the bright sunshine out, there are blinds for the windows and the ceiling if you choose to use them. Toughened, triple-glazed, retractable glass walls, a glass floor and a glass ceiling truly bring the outside in... even the shower has a glass wall and a glass floor!

Each pod comes with simple cooking facilites, including a hob inside and a barbecue on the deck. Bring along the makings of your own feast to prepare in the pod, or opt for a dinner and breakfast package and arrive to a fabulous pre-prepared spread using locally sourced ingredients and delicacies - all you have to do is finish it off on the hob or BBQ! Make sure you pack your favourite wine, beer or spirit to go with your meal. There is plenty of fresh drinking water, along with tea, coffee and milk - and a fridge for the Sauvignon Blanc you brought with you!

Some of the pods have details about nearby walking tracks if you'd like to explore, but our favourite thing to do at any of the pods is to simply sit out on the deck and listen to the birdsong, read a book, soak up the views with a glass of local Pinot... and relish the feeling of doing nothing at all. Every pod provides the perfect antedote to our busy, modern lives! There is no Wi-Fi here, and no television, but there is a USB outlet and a bluetooth speaker if you'd like to relax with your favourite music. In lieu of screentime, it's all about getting back to basics... there's a telescope or binoculars in every pod, along with a star map, games and some books. With the lack of light pollution, the stars are incredible and the Southern Cross shines brightly through the glass ceiling as you snuggle in your warm, cosy bed.
