So much more than just a beach destination, Sri Lanka offers an experience like no other. Staying in two or three different areas will really give you a good taste of true Sri Lanka.

Although the island is fairly small, the road conditions can make the transfers a little longer than expected. Sit back and marvel over the stunning scenery as you go by – you won’t be disappointed. Travelling by road is just one way to get around and we highly recommend you take the train from Kandy to the Tea Country or along the coast. It’s an inexpensive way to get around and some of the sites you see will be some of the best. Another must-do is a seaplane! Take off in a tiny plane, fly over the mountains and land on a lake enjoying a birds-eye view of the magical island.

With so many national parks in Sri Lanka you have to visit at least one! Head out in your 4x4 vehicle with your driver and explore the plains and jungles. Visit national parks like Minneriya or Yala, where you are sure to see elephants, leopards, sloth bears, monkeys and beautiful birds, to name a few.

Romantic experiences and culinary delights are top of the list on most honeymoons. Colombo has a great choice of fine dining and romantic restaurants. We also recommend you try lunch at a local's house and feel the true hospitality from the locals and taste the most amazing local spices and recipes!

Head to Galle Fort for a day, roaming the narrow roads and dipping in and out of boutique shops and sampling local cuisines in the cafés. Explore the fort and share fabulous memories to last a lifetime.
