All of the spacious suites and villas are either part of the original building or dotted throughout the tropical gardens. All have a generous outdoor terrace, indoor sitting area and super comfy king sized beds. We adore the Beach Suites, only 20 metres from the sea!

Taiyo is the new kid on the block at Hotel Esencia offering Japanese plates with Mexican influences. Beefbar is a haven for meat lovers featuring Australian Black Onyx and Wx Wagyu beef, and Certified Japanese Kobe beef. All day dining is found at beachside Mistura where Mexican and Mediterranean cuisines are combined to create an incredible sea-to-table fare. Grab a fresh juice or smooth coffee from the beachside Coffee & Juice Bar with a scrumptious Mexican pastry or superfood bowl! Signature cocktails and jaw dropping sunsets can be enjoyed at the Beach Bar with your toes in the sand.

The boutique Esencia Spa is hidden away in the gardens of the hotel overlooking the estate's cenote and offers a wide range of treatments, some using natural products and traditional methods which are chosen and blended according to your needs. 

Activities are simple and low key - tennis and pickle ball courts are available, or you can grab a snorkel & fins to explore the marine life, take a walk along the pristine talcum-soft beach or recharge body and mind with a sunrise yoga class. For something a little more active, there's a small fitness centre, or venture out to explore Mayan ruins and underground cenotes nearby.

Hotel Esencia accepts children all year round but don't expect to find a kids club or activities program. All rooms will take an extra bed but for more space, book one of the fantastic two bedroom pool villas.
