Jashita Hotel
One of the best-kept secrets on the Riviera Maya, Jashita is a luxury boutique hotel hidden away in Soliman Bay. Even though it’s just 20 minutes from Tulum, it feels off-the-beaten-track, entering forget-about-the-rest-of-the-world territory. Small and authentic, with just 30 suites, it’s sandwiched between tropical forest, white sand, and bright turquoise sea. The vibe is barefoot luxury with hammocks dotted throughout, perfect for siestas in the shade of a palm tree, and we love the swing-seated beach bar. Here, luxury is simplicity and there’s a relaxed homey feel to this feet-in-the-sand bolthole. Jashita leans more to couples than families, there’s a drop-dead gorgeous infinity pool a stone’s throw from the beach, plus a new one on the rooftop with killer views and its own bar. You might spot a majestic pelican swooping down from your high-up perch.

Redefining the concept of elegance and comfort, the 30 rooms and suites at Jashita are meticulously designed to provide space with breath taking views. All are purposefully positioned to soak up the beauty of the surrounding nature and promote peace and harmony.
The food is outstanding. Delicious breakfasts include huge fruit platters and the beachfront restaurant Pandano brings together Mexican and Italian food in a gorgeous setting. Each dish is prepared using locally grown ingredients and there’s everything from slow-cooked beef tacos and Mayan spiced prawns to homemade pasta and fresh grilled lobster.
A highlight is the Caoba Spa - a house built on sand that offers everything from Mayan massages and soothing facials to a Cacao Ceremony. There are also paddleboards, kayaks and snorkelling equipment in the Adventure Shack or head off on a land or sea excursion.
