Highlights

Viceroy Riviera Maya

Sleep

The palapa-roofed bohíos, or villas, are sophisticatedly decorated using natural materials throughout; louvered-mahogany doors and windows, sisal rugs and canopy beds with hand-stitched Egyptian cotton linens. Bathrooms are spacious with indoor and outdoor showers and his-and-hers sinks and closets. Signature villas and above also come with a large bathtub. The luxurious villas all have a heated plunge pool in a private courtyard garden, complete with hammock and day bed.

Eat

La Marea Restaurant offers an array of daily specials and chef's recommendations abundant in fresh seafood and local prime meats while Coral Restaurant focuses on locally caught and responsibly-fished seafood and local organic produce. Not to be missed is the weekly tequila and ceviche tasting where you will learn all about the history of tequila and sample some different examples of this age old liquor, accompanied by 3 varieties of ceviche.

Pamper

The Wayak Spa at Viceroy Riviera Maya is located amidst a lush tropical landscape and offers a full range of treatments, steam rooms, Jacuzzis and some wonderful Mayan rituals. Ocean front yoga classes take place at the end of the pier, where it is also possible to enjoy an invigorating massage.

The soap concierge will visit you on arrival to showcase their variety of organic and fragrant soaps for you to choose from during your stay.

Play

In addition to the private plunge pool in your villa, Viceroy Riviera Maya features a beautiful lagoon pool overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Along the perfect stretch of powder white sand you will find palapas for two with comfortable sun loungers. The friendly beach service means you don't need to move a muscle, just lay back and take in the view - the bar and restaurant will come to you! For something more active, head to the beachfront gym or enjoy water sports such as stand up paddle-boarding, windsurfing or sailing.

Honeymoons

Indulge in Xaman Ek, the South Star Abundance Ritual. The South Star is cherished by the Mayan people and said to guide couples through a path of love, comprehension, harmony and welfare. Massage beds are positioned for Xaman Ek, asking her to grace the couple with a sense of abundance. Enjoy a relaxing massage using Viceroy's exclusive love oil to balance the chakras and reorder the energy between you. Enjoy a 80 minute massage harmonised with the sounds of the waterfall. Continue with a herbal touch bath by resting inside a tub made from a Zapote Tree and infused by medical herbs harvested from the garden that surround your body and your soul. Experience the magical effect of Mirne Essence that awakens the senses and brings good luck, peace and rest.
