- The Rocky Mountaineer
The Rocky Mountaineer
Train travel is fast becoming a part of most Canadian journeys, especially when linking the two westerly provinces of British Columbia and Alberta. The infamous Rocky Mountaineer bears its reputation for good reason, with no other luxury train offering quite the same experience when it comes to spectacular scenery and service. This journey showcases the route between Alberta and British Columbia by track, rather than car or plane.
Speak to our team of specialists about the different route options and journey times. This itinerary includes a one-night train experience east to west, but can be enjoyed west to east, with additional nights and stops included, starting in either Banff, Jasper or if travelling east, Vancouver.
Where you'll be travelling
Your first stop will be the mountain town of Whistler, just a short ride from the city of Vancouver, where you can soak up one of Canada's adventure sport capitals, with amazing restaurants and stunning scenery. Next you'll travel onward to the rustic gold-rush capital of Quesnel, before ending in the northern Rockies hub of Jasper.
You'll pass hidden lakes, deep canyons, vast forests and revel in the history of Canada's gold rush.
A three day, two night journey, traversing the wilds of northern British Columbia in true train travel luxury.
