Naibor Camp & Little Naibor, Kenya

Naibor’s ‘safari chic’ style combines contemporary comfort with muted bush colours. It is a traditional East African safari style camp, nestled amongst a riverine forest. Naibor is a Maasai word meaning space, clarity and simplicity and each of the seven classic canvas tents is wonderfully spacious and spills out onto a shady verandah, whilst the ensuite bathrooms feature a flush toilet and hot shower. Families or romantic couples will enjoy the seclusion of nearby ‘Little Naibor’ which comprises two uniquely designed two bedroomed tented suites (each has a double and twin room inter-joined by a communal lounge and verandah area).

Naibor's stylish bar and deck overlooks the Talek River, where animals come to drink, making it the ideal spot for a camp sundowner. The river has a resident pod of hippos. Floor cushions, rugs and sofas invite the weary to relax and enjoy the sounds of the African wilderness. 

The camp is renowned for its delicious meals. Dinner is a convivial affair at the long mess table or can be enjoyed privately close to your tent under the stars. Post-dinner campfire stories often linger long into the night at Naibor. Breakfast and lunch are either served in camp or as a picnic during or after a morning game drive.

The vast open plains surrounding Naibor are literally dotted with wildlife. The animal sightings here are incredible and the heart of the action in the Mara is literally right on the camp's doorstep! Birdlife in the area is also prolific. Bush walks are highly recommended and after an exhilarating day on safari, you can opt to enjoy a relaxing massage in the Naibor Spa. Early morning hot air balloon flights over the Mara as the sun rises can also be arranged.

Naibor has a main camp with seven luxury en-suite tents for couples, but it is Little Naibor, situated within the immediate vicinity of main Naibor, which has been created especially for families.
