Governors' Il Moran, Massai Mara

Hidden in the shade of ancient trees along the winding banks of the Mara River, II Moran’s ten spacious tents are completely private and feature beautiful king size beds, crafted from fallen olive trees. The spacious en-suite bathrooms boast a Victorian style bath enabling you to soak away the dust from your memorable day on safari.

After a late afternoon game drive, enjoy a beautiful sundowner on the edge of the Mara River. For a unique experience, enjoy a bush dinner in a secluded location on the banks of the Mara River under the giant evergreen trees on a raised wooden deck with beautiful sightings of the hippos below. The main feature is a sunken firepit, the perfect spot to sit back with a cocktail of choice. 

The camp’s superb location inside the Reserve ensures that you will encounter some of the best game viewing in the Masai Mara – you won’t waste any time getting to the action! You will enjoy game drives in custom-built safari vehicles – and we also highly recommend a walking safari with one of the qualified naturalists – a unique opportunity to experience the untamed beauty of the Mara. Governors II Moran is accessible via a daily scheduled or charter flight from Nairobi, followed by a 15 minute road transfer.
