Middle East Holidays 2025/2026

For a subtle taste of Arabia with a cosmopolitan lifestyle, glorious white sandy beaches, superb duty-free shopping, world-class hotels, the allure of a moonlit barbecue in the desert, year-round sunshine (October to April is the most popular time to visit) – and a flight time from the UK of a little over 7 hours – the Middle Eastern countries of United Arab Emirates and Oman are irresistibly hard to beat! Holidays to Dubai and holidays to Oman can be enjoyed as a destination in their own right – or as a vibrant stopover en-route to the Indian Ocean, Africa, Asia and Australia.

Where to go in the Middle East

Why Turquoise Holidays loves the Middle East

''While Dubai glitters, the neighbouring Oman is everything you don’t expect of the Middle East holidays. A thousand-odd mile coastline makes this a more than worthy beach inclusion, but what we love most about Oman is that it remains relatively undiscovered.’'  - Lisa – Middle East Specialist

Turquoise Holidays recommends

Whichever Middle Eastern destination you choose, our selection of luxury resorts and retreats ensure a sublime hotel experience. We highly recommend combining traditional with off the beaten track. Our favourites include Six Senses Zighy Bay and Alila Jabal Akhdar in Oman and Al Maha Desert Resort in Dubai. The most romantic hotel in Dubai in our opinion is One&Only The Palm!

Reviews
''From the greeting with fresh juice and cold towels, to the surprise private dinner on the first night, the level of service at Al Maha was exceptional. Every member of staff was friendly, polite and helpful. As honeymooners, we enjoyed being called Mr and Mrs Robson for the first time! Our villa was the perfect size for relaxing during the day and we enjoyed the fantastic views from our private pool out over the desert. An extra touch which we really liked was that binoculars were provided in the room. I had initially thought that we might spot some gazelle or oryx if we were lucky. It soon became clear that they are all over the resort and it was very special so see the gazelle drinking from our pool. Inside the villa, we thought that the rooms were well decorated, very clean and spacious (fantastic bathroom). The staff who performed the morning refreshment and the turndown service were lovely and very unobtrusive. Three nights felt like the perfect amount of time to spend at the resort. We were very relaxed by then and might have burst from eating so much lovely food if we had stayed any longer! That said, there were plenty of activities that we didn’t try so I can see how one could go back numerous times. The food was a particular highlight, all absolutely delicious, plenty of choice and substantial portions. There were also plenty of drinks options with every meal. The only activity we dragged ourselves away from the pool for was the sunset camel ride which was beautiful and very well led. Overall, we loved Al Maha and struggled to see how the honeymoon could get better as we left.''
