Fiordland Lodge, Te Anau, New Zealand

With just 27 guests at any one time, accommodated in 10 luxurious rooms in the Lodge and two separate self-contained loft-style Log Cabins, privacy and exclusivity are assured.  Accommodation features king-size beds, ensuite bathrooms and fabulous views. Designed in harmony with the beautiful Fiordland landscape, the log cabins provide secluded accommodation for a maximum of five guests, separated from the main lodge. All accommodation options have wonderful views over Lake Te Anau, and outside space in the form of a balcony or the lawn. 

The guest lounge is a wonderful place to relax after a day exploring Fiordland – and the large riverstone fireplace, exposed log beams, high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass create a feeling of warmth, space and style. A commanding staircase leads to a peaceful mezzanine level with a library. Breakfast and dinner are served in the dining room – and the menu showcases local produce complemented by wines from the cellar.

Fiordland Lodge is located five kilometres north of Te Anau – and is an ideal base for exploring Milford and Doubtful Sounds. Fishing and bird-watching are also available. Lake Te Anau is just a 10 minute walk away – and definitely worth a lesiurely stroll –but the surrounding alpine setting also offers numerous scenic hiking trails – and the lodge can easily arrange full or half day guided walks with a local knowledgeable guide (heli-hikes can also be arranged).
