Inside this beautifully restored Shepherd's Hut, you'll find a romantic haven perfect for two! The living room has a comfortable sofa, a well-stocked bookcase and a small dining table and chairs – and the wooden galley-style kitchen will be stocked with breakfast provisions for your arrival. The bedroom enjoys views across the valley – so you can lie in bed and look out through the French doors to the rolling hills beyond. After a busy day exploring the Hawke's Bay region, relax in the outdoor tub under a blanket of stars!

Little Tom's is self-catered so there are no facilities on site but shops and supermarkets are only 15 minutes drive away in Hastings. Many of the famous Hawke’s Bay vineyards, including Craggy Range and Black Barn, are within a short drive – so a leisurely lunch amongst the vines is a ‘must’ – as is dinner at the fabulous Terrôir Restaurant (located at Craggy Range).  

The delightful owners, Van and Linda, live nearby and will be happy to suggest some great local spots to visit – or equally, they will leave you to revel in the peace and solitude should you prefer. Just twenty minutes away, escape to the pristine beaches of Waimarama and Ocean Beach… or simply take time to enjoy the beautiful countryside which surrounds Little Tom’s Cottage. The ‘Art Deco Capital of the World’ - Napier - is just a 25 minute drive from the cottage and a great town to explore, or head to Cape Kidnappers and check out the gannet colony. You can also go horseriding on the beach, play a round of golf at the world-class local course, go for a hike or a bike ride - or simply grab a bottle of local wine, retreat to your cottage and enjoy the serenity, the views and the birdsong.
