A Thai heritage style pervades throughout all of the hotels sumptuous suites and slick studios which ooze quality and charm. The Horizon and Oasis Retreat Suites are beautifully appointed 48 square meter one bedroom suites which come with an ensuite bedroom and lounge. They face north to the impressive Bangkok cityscape or south to the Chao Praya River. Most of the Horizon Suites are set on floors 33 to 42 and the Oasis Retreats are on floors 43 to 49. The beautifully furnished Serenity Club Rooms are more of a studio style and have a spacious bedroom which leads directly into a large and luxurious bathroom. The One Bedroom Suites are the same as the Serenity Club Rooms, but feature an additional lounge area with sliding doors separating the bedroom and bathroom. The two bed suites are fantastic with a huge marble floored living area connected to two large en suite bedrooms. Club and One Bedroom Suites have access to the Club Lounge on the 19th floor which is well worth the upgrade and includes complimentary buffet breakfast, non-alcoholic refreshments, light snacks, and free-flow of local beer.

Dining is certainly one of Banyan Tree Bangkok’s highlights and the hotel offers some of Thailand’s top restaurants and dining experiences. Bai Yun is a superb Cantonese restaurant with unique views of the city while Saffron is a superb modern Thai restaurant with a striking décor set just one floor down from the famous Vertigo and Moon Bar and its own undercover Sky Garden. Perched right at the top of the hotel, set outdoors on the 61st floor Vertigo lives up to its name and offers one of Bangkok’s most iconic dining experiences with some of the best metropolitan views in the world. The Apsara is a traditional Thai style junk and is another “must do” Bangkok experience with a Thai feast served up as you cruise the Chao Praya River.

Facilities include an excellent health club with steam, sauna, a gymnasium and yoga, pilates and aerobics lessons. There is also an outdoor pool 21 floors above Bangkok’s busy streets with a juice bar for refreshment and cool respite from the heat. The spa is one of Bangkok’s very best and like many other features of the hotel is set high up! It features an extensive menu of signature treatments and is a great place to rejuvenate before or after a flight.
