Pimalai Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta

The style is very much southern Thai with plenty of local influences in the shape of highly polished floors, bamboo blinds and wooden furnishings and there are a variety of rooms to choose from. The deluxe and bay front rooms are beautiful and a number offer partial ocean views but it’s the much- lauded pool villa wing that really tickle our fancy. Set on the hillside each villa is within its own compound and utter privacy is ensured, the infinity edge pool with jaw-dropping panoramic views is the perfect backdrop.  The elevated position does mean an uphill walk but resort buggies are on hand for transportation and the view is most certainly worth it!

Alongside in-villa dining there are three fabulous restaurants to tempt your taste buds offering up classic Thai, freshly grilled seafood and modern western with a clever Asian twist.

The superb beach location means a great choice of complimentary water activities for guests including canoes, windsurfing and boogie boards, there are no motorised water sports which just adds to the tranquillity. You are also close to the beautiful unspoilt islands and iconic limestone cliffs of Koh Krandan, Koh Ngai and Koh Mak making this is a celebrated spot for countless underwater adventures. For landlubbers how about Elephant trekking (don’t forget a banana), hiking with the monkeys in the Lanta Marine National Park or a Thai cooking class!

While Pimalai doesn't have a dedicated kids' club, they offer the "Junior Club" program where children can participate in various supervised activities. These activities include arts and crafts, nature exploration, and beach games. Pimalai can arrange for professional babysitting services upon request, allowing parents some downtime to relax and enjoy the resort's facilities.
